Should we fear death?

On April 10, 2013, I (and my family) mourn the loss of my grandmother, Nancy Campbell.  She died peacefully in her sleep.  We will truly miss having her around.  She was a huge blessing to all of us.

Through her passing I was reminded of one very important thing:  death isn't natural.  It was never suppose to take place from the very beginning of time (Genesis chapters 1-3).  Because of Adam (the very first man) sin and death entered into the world (Romans 5:12).  But- through Jesus Christ's death we may live (Romans 8:1-11).

For those who are Christians (those who have new hearts in Christ) we have an eternal hope; a hope that we are looking forward too after we die.  We know that this life is temporary and that there is something far more significant than that which is here on this earth.  Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we may live.  Followers of Jesus have no need to fear death!
